Mr. Shih-Choib Fu

Deputy Commissioner Fu Shih-choib was born in 1951 and received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Chung Yuan University in 1974 and a master’s degree in business management from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in 1989.

 

From 1978 to 1995, Mr. Fu served as a civil engineer, chief and division director of Ret-Ser Engineering Agency and was responsible for construction of Feitsui Reservoir, the Tamsui MRT line and the Hualien Jiashan Military Project.

 

From 1995 to 2008, Mr. Fu worked as section chief, deputy director and division director for the Bureau of High Speed Rail, Ministry of Transportation and Communications. After 14 years of devotion to construction of the Taiwan High Speed Rail BOT project, Mr. Fu received an AIM Alumni Achievement Award.

 

In 2008, Mr. Fu was promoted to DORTS deputy commissioner, and for the nearly six years he has contributed to completion of several Taipei MRT lines, including the Nangang eastern extension and the Xinzhuang, Luzhou and Xinyi lines. For his outstanding contributions, the Public Construction Commission awarded him a 2013 professional medal, the highest honor for public construction in Taiwan.

 

As a DORTS spokesman, Mr. Fu received a 2014 distinguished public relations award from the Foundation for Public Relations and was recognized as best spokesman due to his excellent logic and persuasive speaking abilities.
